Certificate I, Certificate II & Certificate III in Music Industry (Foundation) Combined

Certificate I in Music Industry (Foundation)
Three core units plus three of six elective units.
Covers a focused range of music industry knowledge.
Basic practical skills and routine work practices.
Certificate II in Music Industry (Foundation)
Four core units plus six of twenty-one electives.
Covers a moderate range of operational music industry knowledge.
Defined skills and solving known problems. Choosing task options.
One year of full time study or two years of part time study.
Certificate III in Music Industry
Three core units plus seven of eleven electives plus two additional units.
One year of full time study or two years of part time study.
One to one supervision skills.
Develop skills in information interpretation.
Develop self direction skills.
Improve discretion and judgement in applying skills.

Short Courses

Short Courses of 10 weeks (one semester) which comprise an “Introduction to the Subject” and Single Study Modules (1 year) which attract a recognised Statement of Attainment are also available.

Articulation

The AGMED also offers a Diploma of Music and an Advanced Diploma of Music that includes some of the Degree subjects and all the Music Industry Creative Skills Modules for Diploma and Advanced Diploma. These programs are ideal for the students requiring academic study but not wishing to take out a degree.

Certificate IV in Music

Three core units plus seven of thirteen electives plus four additional units.
One year of full time study or two years of part time study.
Develop a broad knowledge base with an understanding of quality standards.
Expands supervision skills.
Information analysis and source evaluation.

Diploma of Music

Three years full time study or six years part time study.
Supervision of groups.
Analysis and planning / management.
Provides a substantial depth of knowledge.
Application of theoretical concepts.
Allows transfer to an articulated degree.
Entry: AGMS grade 7 or approved equivalent.

Advanced Diploma of Music

Entry: Diploma of Music or approved equivalent.
Two years full time study or four years part time study.
Develops specialised knowledge and understanding.
Analysis, diagnosis and design of executive judgement for management.
Use of abstract concepts to generate ideas.
Develops a wide range of conceptual skills.
Expands group supervision and direction skills.

Bachelor of Music

This new course was approved at the start of October 2002 and has been delivered since 2003. The other courses have been adjusted so that each increasing qualification flows evenly to the next.

The Guild have been approved as a HEP at the end of 2006 and now this course has the option for students to apply for FEE HELP if there is a need for further assistance towards fees needed.
