Higher Education Provider (HEP)

In 2006 the Australian Guild of Music Education Inc. was passed as a HEP provider.  Commonwealth assistance is now available for students who are eligible.  FEE-HELP is a loan scheme which assists eligible students (Australian citizens and students on humanitarian visas) to pay their tuition fees. The Australian Government pays the student’s tuition fee to the Australian Guild of Music Education on behalf of the student.

This relates to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music course.

Establishment:                                              

The AGMED was established in 1985 as an independent associate body of the AGMS to cater for students who desire to obtain recognized tertiary qualifications.


The AGMED is a Registered Training Organisation with Nationally Recognised Code No 3589 delivering training in all States/Territories of Australia by distance education techniques.

The courses/qualifications offered fall into three classes: National Recognised courses; Higher Education Program courses, and special internal courses/qualifications.
