I decided to make the structure of the first and second verses quite different in this song. I also gave a lot of thought to the third chord in the sequence – an E major which after the Bm and G was not a chord I would usually employ. Finally, the first verse starts with the lyrics well-spaced and moves to quick alliteration, while the second verse does the opposite – another deliberate choice.
