Caprice for Solo Viola
I am a Viola player who loves to write challenging music for Viola, Violin, String Quartet and Piano. I love to use my spare time to write because I use it as a means of expression. I believe music is one of the best ways to convey thoughts and feelings. My "Suite for Solo Viola" was premiered on 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne last year (by myself). I just love to write and play music!
I aimed to write a technically-demanding piece for Viola that is also really fun to learn and perform. My main inspiration for this work was Bartolomeno Campagnoli as I am currently learning some of his Caprice's right now. I have used Early Classical harmonic language, phrase structure etc. I wrote this piece in 3 days and I had a lot of fun with it!
