James Philpot
The Beginning of Our Ending
00:00 / 04:28
Hi, I'm James, a Year 10 student from King's College in Warrnambool Regional Victoria. I've always loved to play music and have a passion for composing music in film styles. My dream job is to be a film scorer, and I would like to pursue a career in music.
I chose to purely focus on the orchestra to create a familiar, natural sound. I used an arpeggiated theme and rising notes to create a feeling of release and ascent. I created this piece because it is a variation of the first orchestral piece I made. It means a lot to me. The chord progression was chosen to create a feeling of nostalgia and yearning. Overall, I tried to create an emotional, meaningful piece.
